스마트폰 생태계의 유형 및 전략적 진화동태성 분석

초록

스마트폰 시장은 서비스 특성간 경쟁 뿐만 아니라 스마트폰과 관련한 서로 다른 생태계간의 경쟁으로 인식되고 있다. 기업간 경쟁을 넘어 생태계로 표현되는 기업군간의 경쟁양상을 보여주고 있다. 이들 생태계가 과연 단일 시장에서 전면적인 경쟁을 보일 것인가 아니면 각기 세분시장으로 분할될 것인가는 향후 이동통신 중심의 통합시장이 어떤모습을 보일 것인가에 큰 영향을 미칠 것으로 전망된다. 본 연구는 스마트폰과 관련한 이들 생태계가 어떻게 구성되어있고 어떤 전략적 지향점을 갖고 또 이들간 경쟁이 어떤 형태로 진화할 것인가에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 이를 통해향후 이동통신을 플랫폼으로 하는 다양한 혁신적 서비스 영역의 밑그림을 그려보고자 한다.

Abstract

Smartphone industry is identified as competitions among ecosystems as well as among service attributes. It shows a huge competition among groups of companies beyond among individual companies. It is expected that whether the competition will be face-to-face competition or the competition will be held in several segmented markets makes an impact on the converged market in future. This study examines the structures of smartphone ecosystems, analyzes the strategic directions of them, and estimates how the competition will evolve. Through these analyses, this study draws a picture on several innovative service areas which are based on the platform of mobile communications in future.
