부모의 성취압력, 부정적 평가두려움이 시험불안에 미치는 영향: 적극적 스트레스 대처방식 수준에 따른 차이 검증

초록

본 연구는 부모의 성취압력과 부정적 평가두려움이 시험불안에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 이러한 변인 간 관계가 적극적인 스트레스 대처방안의 사용 수준에 따라 다르게 나타나는지를 검증하여, 적극적 스트레스 대처방안이 시험불안을 완화할 수 있는 완화효과를 나타내는지 확인함으로써 학교나 상담 현장에서 시험불안을 겪고 있는 중학생을 효과적으로 지원하는 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 중학생 310명의 설문자료를 구조방정식모형과 다집단 구조방정식모형을 사용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 부모의 성취압력이 부정적 평가두려움을 매개하여 시험불안에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로, 부모의 성취압력이 부정적 평가두려움을 매개하여 시험불안에 미치는 영향의 구조적 관계는 학생의 적극적 스트레스 대처방식 사용 정도에 따라 다른 결과를 보였다. 즉, 적극적 스트레스 대처방안을 적게 사용하는 학생들은 부모의 성취압력이 부정적 평가두려움에 영향을 미치고 이러한 부정적 평가두려움이 시험불안에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 적극적 스트레스 대처방안을 많이 사용하는 학생들은 부모의 성취압력이 부정적 평가두려움과 시험불안에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of parent's academic pressure and the fear of negative evaluation on test anxiety Also, this study analyzed the differences of relationships among the parent's academic pressure, the fear of negative evaluation, and test anxiety between lower-level of and higher-level of active stress coping. To achieve this, this study surveyed 309 middle school students and conducted SEM and multi-group SEM analyses. The results were as follows. First, parent's academic pressure influenced the test anxiety through the fear of negative evaluation. Second, the influence of parent's academic pressure on test anxiety through the fear of negative evaluation showed different patterns depending on the level of active stress coping. Specifically, the effects of parent's academic pressure and fear of negative evaluation on the fear of negative evaluation was not found in higher-level of active stress coping group, differently from the significant effects in lower-level of active stress coping group. Also, parent's academic pressure influenced test anxiety through the fear of negative evaluation in lower-level of active stress coping group; contrarily, in higher group the mediation effect was not shown.
