본 연구에서는 진로 의사결정이 진로에 관한 태도나 행동 특성에 따라 좌우되는 일종의 선호도라고 전제하였다. 이에 따라 진로에 관한 포괄적인 태도 요인을 확인하고 또 그 요인들의 상호 작용에 의해 영향을 받는 의사결정 유형을 진로발달의 결정적 시기인 고교시기에 한정해 비교하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 경기도 용인 시와 수원 시에 소재하는 5개 인문계 고등학교의 학생 746명이었으며 진로에 대한 태도가 고등학교시기에 확립되면서 일정한 방식으로 변화할 것이라는 가정 하에 1학년과 2학년 그리고 3학년의 하위 집단 별로 구분하여 데이터 마이닝하였다. 연구 결과 고교1학년 이라는 시기는 부모의 영향력과 의도에서 벗어나 친구 또는 자신의 판단 준거로 독자성을 확립하려는 첫 단계인 것으로 확인되었으며, 2학년은 선택계열에 관한 정보 정도가 합리적인 의사결정과 관련되고 있어 진로에 대한 보다 구체적인 태도가 형성되는 시기인 것으로 나타났다. 3학년은은 진로 선택이 보다 현실적이고 직면한 과제였으며 특히 진로지도의 핵심적 당사자인 교사들을 합리적의 의사 결정의 정보원으로서 활용하기보다는 자신의 직관과 판단을 단정하기 위한 대비적인 기준으로 받아들이고 있었다. 본 연구에서는 의사결정 유형이 학년의 진행에 따라 뚜렷한 경향을 보이기보다는 탈 동일시와 부모와의 관계설정 그리고 진학 등의 현실적 발달과제에 따라 좌우되는 것으로 나타났으며, 직관적인 의사 결정유형과는 달리 의존적인 유형은 독립성과 자기 확신이라는 발달적 성취를 이루지 못한 유형인 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구에서 전제된 의사결정의 선호도는 실재 진로선택의 행동과는 별개 일 수 있다. 또한 진학이라는 목표를 가진 인문계 고등학생만을 대상으로 하였기 때문에 그 외 다양한 진로들을 포괄적으로 고려하지 못한 한계가 있다. 이와 함께 논의에서는 측정 시기나 청소년기 발달적 변인들의 추가적 고려를 제안하였다.
Abstract
The present study was conducted to develop career decision making model on high school students, with two primary goals in mind. They were : First, to find out how differently academic high school students adopt their decision making types according to their own career decision attitude variables. Second, to integrate career related attitudes that would transient on grades. According to the career decision making model, separation and autonomy on parent's standpoint is important variables in freshman. In the case of junior, information and its specification on career related course selection is decisive factors. Self intuition and judgment is very significant factors in senior, but not teacher's career guidance was. The career decision making model on high school students is not assumed that decision making types would predict future's career selection mainly by developmental tasks and attitudes. If the relations between preference and behavior on career selection, self concept, aptitudes was involved, tailored approach of career development is avaliable by career decision making model. The future study on career decision making model is desirable to longitudinal perspective from elementary school to college.
