본 연구는 고등학생의 진로정체감이 진로결정수준에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 고등학생의 진로지도 및 진로상담에 도움을 주고자 하는데 연구의 필요성과 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울지역의 남․여 고등학생을 선정하여 설문지 400부를 배부하여 통계 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학생의 진로정체감의 변화가 진로와 전공선택에 대한 확신수준에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 본인의 욕구와 현실에 대한 적절한 타협을 잘하는 고등학생일수록, 자신의 진로선택과정을 능동적으로 참여하는 고등학생일수록 진로를 결정하는 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 고등학생의 진로정체감의 변화가 교육과 진로미결정의 전제조건에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 진로선택을 독립적으로 하는 고등학생일수록, 선호하는 진로의 방향에 대해 확신을 가지고 있는 고등학생일수록, 자신의 진로선택에 대해 능동적으로 참여하는 고등학생일수록, 진로결정에 필요한 본인의 이해를 잘 하고 있는 고등학생일수록 진로미결정의 전제조건의 영향을 덜 받는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 고등학생시기의 바람직한 진로정체감 형성은 매우 중요하며 이러한 진로정체감 형성이 잘 되어 있는 고등학생 일수록 진로에 대한 결정수준이 매우 높은 것으로 볼 수 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of career identity on career decision-making level in an attempt to help provide better career counseling and guidance for teens to make a career exploration and decision in a rational manner. The research questions were posed:. The career identity in high school students might have an impact on their career decision- making level. The subjects in this study were 400 high school students in Seoul. After a survey was conducted, the answer sheets from 370 respondents were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. The major findings of the study were as follows: As for Hypothesis that the career identity of adolescents might affect their career decision-making level, the subfactors of career identity exercised a significant influence on the subfactors of career decision- making level. Those who had a better career identity made a higher- level of decision. The above-mentioned findings illustrated that career identity had a lot of impact on career decision-making level. Therefore high school students who are in a career development process should be assisted to make the right choice of major before they go onto college. To make it happen, the kind of educational climate that encourages them to acquire detailed information, make a rational plan and make a proper preparation should be created, and they should be given more chances to get career counseling.
