본 연구는 청소년의 스트레스, 부모-자녀 의사소통, 우울이 자살행동에 미치는 직･간접효과를 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 연구대상은 B시 산하 각 교육청별 12개 중학교를 선정하여 학교별 3학급씩 총 724명을 대상으로 스트레스, 부모-자녀 의사소통, 우울, 자살행동 척도를 측정도구로 사용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 측정된 결과는 상관분석, 왜도 및 첨도를 살펴 구조방정식 모형을 추정하는데 문제가 없는지 확인한 후, 최대우도 추정법(ML: Maximum Likelihood Estimation) 절차를 적용하여 모델의 적합도와 모수치를 추정하였다. 또한 추정된 모델의 경로계수를 유의수준 .05에서 통계적 유의성을 검증하였으며, Bootstrapping 절차를 사용하여 각 변인별 직･간접효과를 분석하였다. 이러한 절차를 통해 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 우울은 자살행동에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년의 스트레스는 부모-자녀 의사소통을 매개로 우울에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 청소년의 스트레스 및 부모-자녀 의사소통은 우울을 매개로 자살행동에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 청소년의 자살행동에 우울이 가장 많은 영향력을 미치는 변인임을 확인할 수 있으며, 청소년의 자살행동 감소를 위해서는 우울 이전의 정서인 스트레스를 감소시키는 것이 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 이를 위해 가정에서 부모와의 개방적인 의사소통이 필요하며, 이러한 과정은 청소년의 극단적 행동을 감소시킬 수 있음을 본 연구는 보여주고 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 가정의 중요성을 재확인하면서 가정에서 부모-자녀 간 개방적인 의사소통을 활성화하기 위해 변화의 시점에 있는 청소년들을 좀 더 잘 이해할 수 있는 다양한 부모교육 프로그램의 필요성을 보여 준다.
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to investigate the structural relationship among stress, parent-adolescent communication, depression and suicidal behavior of adolescent. For the purpose of this study, 724 students were selected from 12 middle school in B-city. Stress Scale, Parent-adolescent Communication Scale, Depression Scale and Suicidal Behavior Scale were used for this study. And Date have been analyzed using AMOS 19.0. Model fit indices have been estimated to examine the model identification using maximum likelihood estimation, and the structural relationship has been analyzed using the structural regression model. Conclusions from the results and discussion are as follows: First, adolescent’s depression affects suicidal behavior directly. Second, adolescent’s stress affects depression through parent-adolescent communication indirectly. Third, adolescent’s stress and parent-adolescent communication affect suicidal behavior through depression indirectly. The conclusions show that adolescent’s stress affects depression directly, and adolescent's chronical stress would have been depression, and then they could decide to kill themselves. But as we knew from this study, if adolescent have open-communication with their parents, adolescent's stress or depression would been declined. So it is important for adolescent to have open-communication with their parents, for this it needs to develop a parent education program to understand their adolescent and to communicate openly and ingenuously with them.
