대학생의 성별에 따른 내･외적 직업가치가진로결정자기효능감에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구는 진로선택 및 만족스런 직업생활과 연관이 있는 직업가치 대해 살펴보았다. 구체적인 연구목적으로, 내･외적 직업가치와 진로결정자기효능감의 관계를 살펴보고, 내･외적 직업가치가 진로결정자기효능감에 미치는 영향이 성별에 따라 달리 나타나는지를 살펴보았다. 총 308명의 대학생 집단을 대상으로 연구를 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 외적 직업가치는 진로결정자기효능감과 통계적으로 유의한 상관을 보이지 않았으며 내적 직업가치만이 진로결정자기효능감과 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 진로결정자기효능감에 미치는 내･외적 직업가치의 영향이 남･여학생 집단 간의 성차가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이를 구체적으로 살펴보면, 남학생 집단에서는 내적가치의 주효과만이 진로결정자기효능감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 여학생 집단에서는 내･외적 직업가치가 서로 상호작용하여 진로결정자기효능감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 내･외적 직업가치가 성별에 따라 진로결정자기효능감에 어떠한 양상으로 영향을 미치는지를 살펴볼 수 있었다. 마지막으로 본 연구 결과에 대한 시사점 및 한계점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

This research describes the effects of work value for successful career choice and satisfying work life. The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between intrinsic·extrinsic work value and career decision self efficacy. Further, this study aimed to examine the effect of work value on career decision self efficacy according to gender. A total of 308 college students were recruited in the study. The major findings of this study were as follows: Extrinsic work value had no significant relation to career decision self efficacy but intrinsic work value had positive relationship between intrinsic work value and career decision self efficacy, and the extrinsic work value was not significant in relation to career decision self efficacy. Moreover, there was significant gender difference in the effect of intrinsic·extrinsic work value on career decision self efficacy. For male group, only the main effect of intrinsic work value had a significant influence on career decision self efficacy. For female group, however, there was significant interaction effect of intrinsic·extrinsic work value. These findings explained specific aspects of the effects of intrinsic·extrinsic work value on career decision self efficacy according to gender. Finally, the implications and limitations were discussed.
