As a metaphor, disease not only means the “un-normal” of body, but also reflects the interactivity of individual and sociocultural environment. Based on the “body and family-country” viewpoint of “Guoshentongyi” and the “Culture-Region” Theory of “Foreign Race”, the description of disease in The Whole Tang Poetry not only emphasizes the survival experience of “the frustration in life”, “self-adjustment” and “the metaphor for family-country”; but also accentuates exotic diseases in self-experience or imaginary to reconfirm poets’ identity. The description of disease means the initial efforts to balance “Xiuqinzhiping” and “private space” by the Ancient Scholar Bureaucrats in Mid-Tang Dynasty.
