This article was written to study on the expression and imagery of flowers of Tang Dynasty poetry in ancient China. The imagery of flowers in Tang Dynasty poetry shows the aesthetic characteristics of the profound significance of language, and has become the embodiment of Chinese aesthetic mentality. flowers, one of the most influential image in literature has different posture in different in every poet, and we can also find poet’s deep understanding of the relations between the character of poems and his personal character, and between nature and mankind. Poet’s understanding of flowers has been elevated from the senses of sight and touch to the level of emotion. So, it also can say that the imagery of flowers in Tang Dynasty poetry regarding poet’s philosophies, aesthetics, psychological structures and creative features, and their odes to plum blossoms was a mirror of their spiritual style.
Abstract
This article was written to study on the expression and imagery of flowers of Tang Dynasty poetry in ancient China.
