산업화, 도시화된 환경 속에서 자라는 오늘 날 어린이들은 자연과 인간보다는 실내 집안에서의 TV시청이나 컴퓨터 게임 등을 대표하여 놀이터의 이용이 부족한 실정이다. 어린이들의 놀이터 문제점에 대한 이유는 여러 가지가 있겠지만, 그 중에 특히 형태는 다른 위치에 있음에도 불구하고 놀이터가 모두 획일화된 모습을 지니고 있다. 이러한 단조로운 구성은 어린이들에게 미적 사고를 심어주는데 부족하며 상상력을 증발시킨다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 어린이 놀이터의 조형성 문제점을 예술적 공공미술로서 적용성을 제안하여, 문화적 공간이자 지속적인 미적경관이 되는데 대안이 될 수 있도록 한다. 본 논문은 놀이터의 이론적 고찰과 공공미술의 공간적 역할과 기능을 분석한 후 국내사례와 해외사례를 대상으로 종합 분석 하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 국내 놀이터는 안정성과 기능성은 있지만 조형성은 낮은 수준으로 평가되어 전체적인 심미성이 결여되어있었다. 어린이들에게 미적 경험을 제공해주기에 부족함을 보이고 있었다. 이에 해외 놀이터의 경우 어린이들과 일반인에게 흥미로운 소재의 조형 형태로서 심미적이고 상징적인 경관을 보여주었다
Abstract
Today’s children, who are growing in industrialized, urbanized environment, do not use play ground frequently because they view TV or enjoy computer game inside home. There will be many reasons for their insufficient using rate of play ground but the important reason is that all play grounds show uniformed shapes although they are located in different places. The simple structure can’t provide children with aesthetic mind. The purpose of this study is to suggest the application of public art for the formality problem of children’s playground so that it can be a cultural space andcontinual aesthetic view. The study considered playground theoretically, analyzed spatial role and function of public art and analyzed domestic cases and overseas cases together. The study result revealed that domestic playground has a stability and function but its formality is low and aesthetic property is not sufficient. Generally, it was not sufficient to provide children with aesthetic experience. However, overseas playground showed aesthetic, symbolic scene to children and general people with formative types of interesting materials.
