실내공간에서 조명에 의한 미니멀 디자인 표현에 관한 연구

본 연구는 실내공간에서 인공조명의 배광 및 배치방식이 미니멀 디자인의 특성을 표현하는 능력을 분석하고자 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 미니멀리즘의 공간적 표현특성(확장성과 폐쇄감), 재료적 표현특성(물성과 비물성), 그리고 형태적 표현특성(단순성과 반복성)을 분석에 적용하였다. 인공조명의 배광방식은 직접 조명, 반직접 조명, 간접 조명, 반간접 조명, 전반확산 조명으로 분류하였고, 배치의 방식은 점, 선, 면, 입면으로 분류하여 분석에 적용하였다. 분석의 결과, 대부분의 배치방식에서 직접조명과 간접조명이 미니멀 실내공간의 특성을 표현하는데 가장 효과적인 배광방식인 것으로 파악되었으며 입면 배치가 전반적으로 미니멀 공간의 특성을 표현하는데 효과적인 방식인 것으로 분석되었다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the abilities of artificial lighting in representing the expressive characteristics of minimalist interior design, in terms of the light distribution pattern and lighting installation type. This study first discusses three typical expressive characteristics of minimalist design, including the spatial (openness/ closedness), materialistic (materiality/ demateriality), and morphological properties (simplicity/ repeatedness). On the other hand, this study identifies the light distribution pattern into five typical patterns for the analysis: 1) direct; 2) semi-direct; 3) indirect; 4) semi-indirect; and 5) general diffused lightings. Furthermore, this study includes four lighting installation patterns for the analysis: 1) point source; 2) linear source; 3) area source; and 4) wall source of light. This study concludes that direct lighting and indirect lighting are the most effective light distribution methods to represent the minimalist interior design characteristics in the most of the lighting installation patterns examined in this study whilst the wall source lighting effectively represents the expressive characteristics of the minimalist interior space in general.
