Abstract
(Background and Purpose) Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have gone beyond the convergence of art and technology, reshaping the ways in which content is created, distributed, and experienced, thereby forming a new ecosystemic paradigm. In particular, the developmental stages of Perception AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Physical AI, as presented in the CES 2025 keynote address, are reconfiguring the relationships among creators, platforms, and audiences while driving innovation throughout the entire process of content creation, distribution, and engagement. This study aims to analyze domestic and international cases of AI-based content application within these four paradigms and to systematically identify the distinctive characteristics and transformations of each type from the perspective of the content ecosystem. (Method) This research adopts the AI development paradigm proposed by Jensen Huang at CES 2025 as its theoretical framework, classifying representative domestic and international content cases into four categories. Each case was analyzed according to the three axes of the content ecosystem—creation, distribution, and engagement—by comparing how AI technologies were utilized and how these applications brought about structural changes. Through this process, the study derived interconnections between AI developmental stages and content ecosystem dynamics, thereby presenting implications for both academic discourse and practical application. (Results) The results indicate that Perception AI establishes the foundation for early creative processes through object recognition and digitalization, enhancing audiences’ exploratory and learning-oriented experiences. Generative AI improves creative efficiency across text, image, video, and 3D content, breaking down boundaries among creators, platforms, and users while broadening participatory creation. Agentic AI enables real-time interaction and personalized curation through autonomous goal setting, planning, execution, and feedback, thereby fostering a collaborative creative environment in which human conceptual design and AI-driven decision-making are integrated. Physical AI combines robotics, mixed reality (MR), and humanoid technologies to merge physical and virtual spaces, allowing audiences to share spatial experiences with AI and engage in embodied forms of participation. Collectively, these developments demonstrate that AI drives a paradigm shift in the content ecosystem—diversifying creative roles, automating and intelligentizing distribution structures, and transforming modes of engagement into more participatory and embodied forms. (Conclusions) This study analyzes AI-based content utilization not solely from a purely technological or industrial standpoint, but in connection with the structural changes across different ecosystems, thereby suggesting future directions for research and practice in various fields such as culture, art, education, and exhibition. In particular, the integrative analysis linking the four AI paradigms with the ecosystemic dimensions of creation, distribution, and engagement systematically reveals the distinctive features of each case, offering both academic and practical insights that contribute to expanding the paradigm of cultural content in the AI era.
