시간경과에 따른 유아의 정서․행동문제 연구: K-ESP척도 적용 2년간 종단연구를 중심으로

초록

본 연구의 목적은 K-ESP 2관문 척도들을 2년간 적용한 종단자료에 근거하여 시간경과에 따른 유아의 행동성향별, 연령별, 성별 정서․행동문제의 변화를 조사하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 유치원과 어린이집에 다니는 115명의 3세-5세의 어린이다. 종단연구를 통한 유아의 행동성향별, 연령별, 성별 정서․행동문제 변화에 대한 자료분석은 기술통계, Pearson 상관계수, Fisher Z transformation에 의하였다. 본 연구결과 첫째, 시간경과에 따른 외현화 및 내재화집단 모두 전반적으로 공격성행동 척도와 부적응행동 척도에서 2년이 경과한 후에 안정성(연속성)을 보였으나. 일부 문항은 부정적 행동이 감소하는 비연속성을 보였다. 그리고 사회적상호작용 척도와 적응행동 척도에서도 전반적으로 안정성을 보였으나, 일부 긍정적 행동이 향상하는 비연속성을 보였다. 둘째, 2년이 경과한 후 3세-5세 유아들은 공격성행동 척도, 부적응행동 척도, 사회적상호작용 척도 적응행동 척도에서 전반적으로 안정적이었으나, 일부 긍정적 행동은 향상되고, 일부 부정적 행동은 감소되었다. 셋째, 시간경과에 따른 성별 변화에서 공격적행동 척도와 부적응행동 척도에서 남아가 여아보다 높은 문제행동의 안정성을 보였고, 사회적상호작용 척도와 적응행동 척도에서는 여아가 남아보다 좀 더 안정성을 보였다. 이와 같은 연구결과에 근거하여 시간 경과에 따른 정서·행동문제 변화 및 안정성에 대해 선행연구에 의거하여 논의하였다.

Abstract

In this study, the change of emotional and behavioral problems after two years by age, gender, and behavior disposition were examined. The subjects of this study were 115 children between 3 and 5 years old who attended kindergarten and daycare centers. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, and, Pearson correlation coefficient, Fisher Z transformation. The results of this study are as follows. First, both externalizing and internalizing groups showed stability (continuity) 2 years later in aggressive behavior scale and maladaptive behavior scale on the whole over time. However, some items showed discontinuity, where negative behavior decreased. And stability was shown on the whole in social interaction scale and adaptive behavior scale as well, but discontinuity was shown, where some positive behaviors improved. Second, children aged 3 years-5 years was stable on the whole in aggressive behavior scale, maladaptive behavior scale, social interaction scale and adaptive behavior scale 2 years later. However, some positive behaviors improved, and some negative behaviors decreased. Third, in a change according to gender over time, male children showed higher stability of the challenging behavior than female children in aggressive behavior scale and maladaptive behavior scale. And female children showed a little more stability that male children in social interaction scale and adaptive behavior scale. Based on the results of this study, the changes and persistence(stability) of emotional behavioral problems over time were discussed based on previous studies.
