통합형 기능 교재의 개발 방향* - 영어교재를 중심으로 -

Abstract

This paper aims to propose a direction for the development of skill-teaching materials by identifying the needs of KFL and EFL pre-service teachers. A total of 51 KFL and 61 EFL pre-service teachers at a university in Korea participated in a questionnaire survey. The results reveal that: the KFL pre-teachers answered that 'speaking' skill is the most important skill area while EFL pre-service teachers indicated 'listening'. Similarities were found in their preferred areas: 'listening activity for the identification of main ideas', 'group projects for speaking activities', 'reading for inferencing', and 'writing main ideas'. It is suggested that the integration of these important skill-areas should be the direction for the development of foreign language teaching and learning materials.
