최근 환경인문학은 인류세 환경문제에 대응하기 위해 학제간 연구와 대중과의 소통을 추구한다. 환경인문학의 학제간 연구는 현 상황을 정확하게 규명하여 적절한 대응책을 마련하게 하며, 대중과의 소통은 환경문제 대응책에 대중이 적극적으로 참여하게 할 수 있다. 이와 같은 환경인문학의 시대적 역할은 4차 산업혁명의 정보연계성으로 더욱 강화될 수 있다. 비록 산업혁명이라는 용어가 현재의 환경문제의 요인일 수 있지만, 정보연계성은 기존 산업의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 한 방법론이 될 수 있다. 본 연구는 환경인문학이 정보연계성으로 어떻게 학제간 연구와 대중과의 소통을 강화할 수 있는지, 특히 대안적 식량생산방안을 학제간 연구로 접근하여 대중에게 소개하는 방안을 탐색한다. 지역농업과 요리문화에 대한 환경인문학적 연구는 환경문학연구의 새로운 방향성을 제시할 수 있다. 현재의 환경문제에 인문학적 통찰력과 대중의 환경인식고취를 추구하는 환경문학연구는 환경인문학의 다 학제간 연구로 인간-자연의 이분법적 경계를 허물고 인간과 자연이 공존할 수 있는 농업방식과 요리문화를 타진할 수 있기 때문이다. 그러므로 식량생산과 활용에 대한 환경인문학적 연구는 지속가능한 환경을 위한 실천적 대안을 논의하여 현 인류세 환경문제에 대응하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 환경인문학이 4차 산업혁명의 정보연계성을 활용하여 다양한 학문분야의 연계와 대중과의 소통을 강화하여 인간과 자연이 공존할 방안을 논의할 뿐 아니라, 환경문학연구의 지평을 확장할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
Recently, environmental humanities which try to respond to anthropocene environmental degradation mainly pursue to enhance interdisciplinary study and public communication. Environmental humanities try to analyze the environmental phenomena and to make up proper policies with Interdisciplinary study and to encourage the public actively to participate in the policies. These roles of environmental humanities can be supported by information-connectedness in the fourth industrial revolution. Although industrial revolution might cause recent anthropocene issues, new kind of information-connectedness can challenge the existing limit of industry for sustainable environment. This study, therefore, scrutinizes how environmental humanities can enhance interdisciplinary study and public communication with information-connectedness, especially, for alternatives of food production system and culinary culture. Studies of environmental humanities for agriculture and related culture can be important because these studies can give a theoretical and practical basis for sustainable environment. Theoretically, environmental humanities can dismantle dichotomy between human and nature with agricultural perspective. Practically, it can suggest realistic alternatives for human-nature symbiosis. So, studies of environmental humanities for local agriculture and culinary culture can contribute to establish theoretical and practical responds for anthropocene era. This kind of study can give some space to discuss how human can coexist with nature through enhancement of interdisciplinary study and public communication in environmental humanities as well as, can expand the horizon of study of environmental literature with various genres.
