Abstract
Chang Kyong-eun. 2001. On A Study on a Korean Education through Culture. Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language, 25․26, 435~452. Learning a new language is like learning a new way of thinking. For someone to learn a new language, he or she needs to understand how a person of that culture thinks. I suggest that the teaching of the Korean language is most effective when it infuses the teaching of culture into the lesson. This study is focused on the infusion of cultural contents into teaching methods. I made the purpose of Korean education through a culture. I divided the levels to three and made a purpose of the each level. The purpose is not a teaching cultural contents but a developing communicative competence through the infusion of cultural information. And I made the teaching methods for a Korean education through culture. Learning a new language is like learning a new way of thinking.
