Abstract

This paper examines that 『Live with the Stars』(1Hwang Soon-won’s Novel, 947)’s main narrative framework consists of women narratives, and examines the relationship ethics of care as a principle of life for fictional characters. The sense of care, devotion and consideration is portrayed not as an inferior woman's qualities, but as a peaceful and tender force, capable of supporting a violent reality and regenerating a destroyed life. In the process, it was confirmed that ‘Gomyeo’ is not an allegory who acts as a symbol of the Korean people, but rather a realism who is a subject of moral choice. In addition, in the same context, 『Live with the Stars』 is not a novel with a strong allegorical character, but it has the framework of a realism novel. 『Live with the Stars』’s uniqueness in Hwang Soon-won's the literary world does not just mean that it is the first feature-length novel that informs the genre transition from the creation of short stories to the creation of feature stories. Rather, the special status of this novel is that it is a novel that adds to the post-war literary world of Hwang Sun-won, where the ethical sense of the connection between women and life is explored as a possibility to reflect on the violent reality and rebuild the reality. It is in that it is a work that clearly reveals. Specifically speaking, the ethical sensation of the artist is not the ruler/conqueror's ethics, but the cultivator/companion's ethics. 『Live with the Stars』 is not a work that overwrites masculine values with feminine values, but rather reflects the feminine sensation as a value that reflects the congestion of masculine planning, and clearly shows the public power that women and life connection sense can have.
