학예사 자격 제도의 성과와 한계 : 실무 경력 기준을 중심으로

Abstract

The legal basis for the curator certificate was established in 1999. A curator is a museum professional that is responsible for research, collecting, preservation, exhibitions, and education in the museum. In the curator certificate, grades of curators are divided into four levels assistant curator, third grade curator, second grade curator, and first grade curator. Standards for the certificate differ according to grades, but an academic degreeand museum career are required. In this thesis, the appropriateness of the museum career standard for the curator certificate is reviewed. In order to judge the appropriateness, I reviewed surveys on the compliance of the curator certificate regulation (2007), and compared it with other national certificates in the culture and arts area. In order to improve the effectiveness of the curator certificate, an alternative museum career standard is suggested.
