대만의 해외직접투자의 유입과 유출 특징 비교

본 논문은 대만의 해외직접투자 유입과 유출 구조를 시기별로 구분하여 비교 분석하고 있다. 본 연구는 대만경제부투자심의위원회의 자료를 이용한다. 대만의 해외직접투자 유입은 1950년대부터 시작되고 있으나 1981년-2000년 시기에 본격적으로 증가하고 있다. 1980년대에는 화교자본이 상대적으로 높은 비중을 차지하고 있으나 1990년대 이후부터는 외국인자본의 비중이 더욱 높아지고 있다. 대만이 유입하는 해외직접투자는 주로 카리브해 영국령 지역, 미국, 네덜란드, 일본, 홍콩, 싱가포르, 영국 등에서 투자되고 있다. 대만으로 유입되는 해외직접투자는 제조업에 가장 많이 집중되고 있으며 금융·보험업, 도·소매업의 비중도 높다. 대만의 해외직접투자 유출도 1990년대 이후부터 본격적으로 시작되고 있다. 특히 중국의 개혁개방으로 인한 투자환경의 개선은 대만의 해외직접투자 유출에 적극적인 영향을 초래하고 있다. 중국을 제외하고 미국과 카리브해 영국령 지역이 대만의 해외직접투자 집중지역이다. 대만의 해외직접투자 유출 업종은 제조업보다는 금융·보험업을 위주로 하는 서비스업이 높은 비중을 차지하고 있다. 그리고 대만의 중국에 대한 해외직접투자는 제조업이 절대적인 비중을 차지하고 있다.
Abstract
This paper compare the inward FDI and outward FDI structure in China, Taiwan by period. Taiwan is the importantfactor in Asian economy, also is the important FDI inward region and FDI outward region. This paper use the ICMOEAdata. The FDI inward in Taiwan started from 1950s, the big scale FDI inward started from 1981-2000 period. The OverseasChinese investment play important role in 1980s, after 1980s, the foreign investment play more important role in FDIinward. The most inward FDI come from British Overseas Territories in the Caribbean, United States of America,Netherlands, Japan, Hongkong(China), Singapore and United Kingdom. The inward FDI mainly concentrated in themanufacturing, and more invested in the financial and insurance, wholesale and retail trade. The outward FDI moreincreased from 1990s in China, Taiwan. In particular, the investment environment improvement of China affect positivelythe outward FDI of China, Taiwan. Excepting the China, the outward FDI concentrated in the United States of America andBritish Overseas Territories in the Caribbean. The outward FDI more concentrated in the financial and insurance and theservice industry, except the manufacturing. And outward FDI to China absolutely concentrated in the manufacturing.
