본 연구의 목적은 1세 영아 부모의 사회적양육행동과 사회적 지원, 1세 영아의 발달특성 간의 구조적 관계를 분석하고, 사회적양육행동이 영아 발달특성에 미치는 영향에서 사회적 지원의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이었다. 한국영유아교육⋅보육패널 1차년도(2022년) 데이터를 사용하였으며, 변인들 간의 구 조적 관계를 분석하기 위해 AMOS 26.0 프로그램을 활용하여 구조방정식모형 분석을 실시하고, 부트스트래핑 방법으로 간접 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 부모의 사회적양육행동은 영아 발달특성에 정적 영향을, 사회적 지원에 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 사회적 지원은 영아 발달특성에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 부모의 사회적 지원은 사회적양육행동이 영아 발달특성에 미치는 영향에서 매개효과를 가졌다. 이러한 결과는 영아의 바람직한 성장과 발달을 지원하기 위해서는 부모가 긍정적 양육행동을 가져야 함과 동시에 부모의 주변 사람들이 양육에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있는 사회적 지원 시스템이 마련되어야 함을 시사한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural relationships among parents’ social parenting behaviors, social support, and the developmental characteristics of one-year-old infants, and to examine the mediating effect of social support in the relationship between social parenting behaviors and infant’ developmental characteristics. This study used data from the first wave of the Korean Early Childhood Education and Care Panel Study. AMOS 27.0 program was used to analyze the structural relationship among variables, and indirect mediating effects were verified using the bootstrapping method. The results showed that, first, parent’ social parenting behaviors had positive effects on both infant’ developmental characteristics and social support, and that social support, in turn, had a positive effect on infant’ developmental characteristics. Second, parent’ social support had a mediating effect on the relationship between parent’ social parenting behaviors and infant’ developmental characteristics. The results of this study suggest that supporting healthy infant growth and development requires not only positive parenting behaviors but also the establishment of social support systems that encourage active involvement from those surrounding parents in child-rearing.
