이 연구는 맞벌이 남녀의 성역할 태도와 결혼 만족도에 대한 연구로서, 각 가족생활주기에 따라 맞벌이 남녀의 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 성역할 태도들과 이러한 성역할 태도들이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향력의 정도를 분석하고자 하는 목적으로 이루어졌다. 이 조사의 대상자들은 울산광역시, 경주시에 거주하는 맞벌이 남녀들이다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 남녀 성별과 가족생활주기에 따른 성역할 태도에서는 대체적으로 여성이 남성보다 더 평등적 태도를 지녔으며, 가족생활주기상 남녀 모두 앞 단계일수록 더 평등적인 성역할 태도를 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 성역할 태도와 결혼만족도의 상관관계 분석에서는 남녀 집단 모두 보다 평등적 태도를 지닐수록 결혼만족도가 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 단계별 투입에 의한 중다회귀분석 결과 맞벌이 남녀의 결혼만족도를 직접적으로 설명하고 예측할 수 있는 요인은 ‘동등한 결정권’, ‘동등한 가사노동’에 대한 성역할 태도인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과에 기초하여 맞벌이 남녀들의 결혼 만족도 향상을 위해서는 어릴때부터 가정과 학교에서의 남녀 평등적 성역할태도에 근거한 자녀양육과 교육의 필요성과 함께 특히 불평등적 성역할태도를 지닌 남성들을 위한 성역할 태도의 재학습을 위한 사회사업적 개입이 요구된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the sex role attitude that may influence the marital satisfaction of dual - earner men and women. General linear model, Pearson's correlation analysis, Stepwise multiple regression were employed for data analysis. the subjects are 396 dual - earner men and women. The result from the research were as follows: 1) The sex role attitude differs significantly by sex and life cycle stage. 2) The sex role attitude significantly correlated with the level of marital satisfaction. 3) The result of stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that sex role attitude predict the level of marital satisfaction. these finding give us significant practical implications for social work intervention.
