본 연구는 아동기 자녀를 키우는 부부의 성역할태도의 다차원적 유형과 예측 변인을 연구하고 성역할태도 조합에 따른 양육 스트레스 차이를 살펴보고자 한다. 한국아동패널 2014년 자료를 활용하여 아동기 자녀의 부모 1,325쌍을 대상으로 성역할태도 6개 문항에 잠재계층분석을 하고 부부의 잠재계층으로 이뤄진 조합별 양육 스트레스 차이를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 아내와 남편 모두 전통적, 복합적, 아내의 경우 조건부 평등적, 남편의 경우 평등적인 태도로 세 잠재계층이 확인되었다. 아내는 연령이 높을수록 조건부 평등적 태도보다 복합적 태도일 확률이 높았다. 남편은 아내보다 연령이 낮을수록 평등적 태도에 비해 복합적 태도일 확률이 높았다. 아내소득이 가계소득대비 적을수록 아내는 복합적일 확률이 높았고, 남편은 평등적 태도에 비해 복합적일 확률이 높았다. 복합적 태도의 부부가 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였고, 양육 스트레스는 낮았다. 한 사람만 전통적 태도를 가진 경우 양육 스트레스가 평균보다 높았다. 평등적 부부는 적은 비율을 차지하였지만, 양육 스트레스가 평균보다 낮았다. 결과를 바탕으로, 양육 스트레스 완화를 위한 개입 시 고려할 점을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The present study aimed to investigate profiles of multi-dimensional gender role attitudes, their predictors, and differences in parental stress. Using the Panel Study on Korean Children obtained in 2014 we perforated a latent class analysis and our final sample included 1,325 spouses. Three classes were identified: traditional, complex and conditionally egalitarian groups for wives, and traditional, complex, and egalitarian groups for husbands. Older wives were more likely to belong to the complex group than conditionally egalitarian group. Husbands were less likely to belong to the complex group than the egalitarian group as they were younger than their wives. The lower the wife’s relative earning, the more likely that both spouses belonged to the complex group than the egalitarian group. The most prevalent combination of couples’ gender role attitudes profiles was that both spouses belong to the complex group. When both spouses belong to the complex group their parental stress was low. When only one spouse belongs to the traditional group couples reported the higher level of parental stress than the average.
