청소년의 성폭력 실태와 예측요인: 성별 차이를 중심으로

본 연구에서는 재학중인 남녀 중고등학생을 대상으로 하여 이성친구간 심각한 성폭력의 가해, 피해, 쌍방경험의 예측요인을 고찰하였다. 대학생에 비하여 본 연구의 대상자인 중고등학생의 이성친구간 성폭력발생률은 낮게 나타났으나 이성교제가 좀 더 자유로워지는 사회적 분위기를 고려하면 이러한 성폭력은 증가할 것이다. 성폭력 경험에 영향을 미치는 요인은 성별차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 남자청소년의 성폭력에 영향을 미치는 변수로는 폭력에 대한 허용적 태도, 부모간 폭력의 목격, 부모로부터의 신체적 학대, 비행수준으로 나타난 반면, 여자청소년의 성폭력에 영향을 미치는 변수로는 연령, 성차별적 태도, 부모간 폭력의 목격, 비행수준으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 연구와는 달리 예측변수가 가해경험, 피해경험, 쌍방경험의 위험률에 미치는 영향력의 차이도 구체적으로 고찰하였다. 연령은 여자청소년의 피해경험의 예측요인이다. 성차별적 태도는 여자청소년의 쌍방경험의 예측요인이다. 폭력에 대한 허용적 태도는 남자청소년의 가해경험과 쌍방경험의 예측요인이다. 부모간 폭력의 목격은 남자청소년의 쌍방경험과 여자청소년의 피해경험의 예측요인이다. 부모로부터의 신체적 학대는 남자청소년의 피해경험의 예측요인이다. 비행은 남자청소년의 가해, 피해, 쌍방경험의 예측요인이고 여자청소년의 피해, 쌍방경험의 예측요인이다.이러한 결과는 태도 변수가 폭력행동의 위험률을 높인다는 기존의 연구를 지지하는 것이며 또한 폭력의 세대간 전달의 가설을 확인하지만 성별로 차이가 있다는 점을 보여주고 있다. 또한 비행수준도 청소년의 성폭력에 강력한 영향력을 미치는 점을 나타내고 있다. 본 조사의 결과를 토대로 사회복지실천에 시사하는 바를 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study examined the prevalence and the predictors of the violence by adolescents emphasizing the differences between male and female. The study examined adolescents enrolled in middle and high schools in Seoul area. The result of this study were as follows. First, 1.0% ~1.5% adolescents reported to have been perpetrators of sexual violence and 1.2%~5.8% adolescents reported to have been victims of sexual violence at least once in their relationships with opposite-sex friends. Since the outcome variable is a multinominal variable which has four categories : perpetrator only, victim only, bidirectional sexual violence(both of perpetrator and victim experience) and no sexual violence, the multinominal regression analysis were performed to find out predictors of the outcome variable. For male adolescents, four variables were significant. First, justifying attitude of violence was a predictor of perpetrator only and bidirectional sexual violence. Second, witnessing parental violence was a predictor of bidirectional sexual violence. Third, being physically abused by parents was a predictor of victim only experience. Fourth, delinquency was a predictor of perpetrator only, victim only, and bidirectional sexual violence. For female adolescents, four variables were significant. The first predictor was age. Age was the one which increases the victim only sexual experience. Second, sexrole attitude was a predictor of bidirectional experience. Third, witnessing parental violence was a predictor of victim only experience. The fourth variable was delinquency. It was a predictor of victim only and bidirectional sexual violence experience. Suggestions and implications with regard to raising social welfare intervention were discussed.
