1990년대 초반부터 대학부설 종합사회복지관에서 예비부부 집단프로그램이 실시된 이래 그 중요성에도 불구하고 주요 가족복지 프로그램으로 활성화되지 못하였다. 최근 정부의 체계적인 가족지원책이 촉구되면서 가족복지 대상자의 범위가 확대되고 지역가족센터의 점진적인 확장과 평등가족실천교육의 실행에 따라 예비부부교육이 공통 사업으로 전국 센터에서 실시될 예정이다. 본 연구는 그동안 예비부부 대상의 집단 프로그램을 실시하면서 얻은 경험과 결혼전 및 신혼기 커플 대상의 설문조사결과를 바탕으로 새로운 프로그램 방향을 제시하는데 목적을 둔 경험적 연구이다. 예비부부교육에 참여한 57명의 미혼 남녀와 신혼부부 대상으로 갈등 영역을 조사하였고 PREPARE 커플설문지를 활용하여 커플간의 차이를 조사하였다. 기존의 부부교육 및 상담 프로그램의 문제점을 보완하여 새로운 프로그램 방향을 제시하였다. 임파워먼트이론과 사회구성주의 이론을 바탕으로 커플 스스로 자신들의 결혼 이야기를 만들어가도록 임파워먼트 하는데 초점을 두었다. 일방적인 교육 위주와 연속성이 결여된 형태를 탈피하여 부부들이 최대한 참여 가능한 클럽 형태로 생활 활동 프로그램을 계획하도록 고안되었다. 최근 지역사회의 가족복지프로그램이 좀 더 다양하게 개발될 수 있는 사회적 환경이 마련되었다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 커플 프로그램을 활용하여 사회복지관이 지역가족센터의 기능을 충실히 수행하고 예방프로그램을 강화할 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to suggest the activation of premarital group program as a prevention program in community family welfare centers. Based on the practice experiences with premarital couples and the research results with a sample of 57 unmarried men and women, and couples in their early marriage, I suggest a new direction and the practice methods of the participation group with premarital couples. Practical methods to implement premarital participation group have been discussed in the prospects of the empowerment model and the social-constructionism. Family-of-origin therapy has been used to deal with family-of-origin issues of premarital couples. Premarital education program is supposed to be implemented in all over the family centers early this year, and social workers are required to take a part in premarital group workers in the community. The practice methods are discussed for community welfare centers to take an active role in professional couple education and counseling.
