본 연구는 결혼초기의 안정되고 건강한 부부관계 형성을 목적으로 ENRICH를 활용한 결혼초기 부부관계향상을 위한 교육상담 프로그램을 개발하고 그 프로그램의 효과성을 검증하였다. 우선 ENRICH에 포함되는 부부관계영역을 내용으로 6회기의 부부관계향상 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 ENRICH를 활용한 강점 중심의 교육상담적 접근과 개인, 부부, 집단의 다양한 상호작용 역동을 활용하여 진행되었는데, 6쌍의 실험집단을 대상으로 6주간 실시되었으며 6쌍의 무처치 통제집단을 선정하여 실험집단과 비교하였다. 프로그램의 효과성 검증을 위하여 두 집단을 대상으로 결혼만족도와 부부대화, 갈등유형에 대한 사전검사와 사후검사, 추후검사를 각 6주 간격으로 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 프로그램에 참가한 실험집단은 통제집단에 비해 결혼만족도와 부부대화, 그리고 갈등해결의 하위영역 중 갈등개입과 긍정적 문제해결에서 유의한 향상이 나타났다. 특히 이러한 변화는 추후검사에서 더욱 강화된 것으로 나타나 프로그램의 지속적 효과가 있음을 보여주었다.
Abstract
The researchers evaluated the relationship enrichment program ENRICH with newly married couples. An experimental group of six couples received six sessions oftreatment, focusing on marital satisfaction, couple communication, and problem solving style. A control group of equal size received no treatment. Both groups received a pretest, posttest, and follow-up. Analyses via an ANOVA found that the experimental group had a) a significant increase in marital satisfaction after treatment and a further increase six weeks later b) a significant improvement in marital communication c) greater problem solving ability than the control group.
