]우리 사회에서 심각한 사회문제로 대두되고 있는 가정폭력의 문제에서 부부폭력을 목격함으로써 가정폭력에 노출된 아동에 대한 관심은 저조한 편이었다. 그러나 가정폭력 노출 아동은 일반아동에 비해 행동, 정서, 신체, 인지의 문제가 있음이 밝혀지고 있다. 그 중 공격행동의 문제는 아동의 청소년기와 성인기에까지 안정적으로 유지되는 특성이 있고, 가정에서의 폭력적인 상호작용이 아동의 공격행동의 학습과 강화에 영향을 줄 수 있으며, 나아가 폭력의 세대간 전승(intergenerational transformation of violence)을 야기할 수 있다는 점에서 중요하게 다루어져야 한다. 이러한 문제제기로부터 본 연구에서는 가정폭력 노출 아동의 공격행동 감소 프로그램을 개발하여 실행하고 그 효과성을 검증하고자 하였다. 문헌연구를 통해 가정폭력 노출 아동의 특성, 공격행동과 그에 대한 개입방법을 조사하였고, 그에 기초한 10회기의 프로그램을 구성하였다. 아동들의 부정적 정서와 폭력에 대한 왜곡된 인식, 공격행동의 대안, 가정폭력에 대한 인식변화와 대처 등을 프로그램의 주요 내용으로 구성하였다. 프로그램의 효과성 검증을 위해서는 공부방 아동 중 가정폭력 노출의 경험이 있고, 공격행동의 문제를 가진 아동 18명을 선별하여 동질성을 갖춘 실험집단과 비교집단을 구성하여 실험연구를 진행하였다. 효과성 검증결과 아동의 공격행동, 분노, 가정폭력에 대한 인지적 평가에서 유의미한 변화가 있었다. 아동들의 분노조절능력 향상과 더불어 폭력에 대한 인식 증진, 가정폭력에 대한 대처효율성 증진이 공격행동감소에 도움이 되었을 것으로 생각한다.이 외에 가정폭력 노출 아동에 대한 연구 및 실천에 있어서의 제언을 첨부하였다. 중심단어 가정폭력, 가정폭력 노출 아동, 공격행동
