본 연구에서는 결혼해체를 경험한 여성이 해체를 전후하여 취업상태가 변화하는지, 이러한 변화과정에서 여성들은 어떠한 양상을 보이며, 서로 유사한 양상을 보이는 여성에게는 어떤 특성과 요인들이 발견되는지를 분석하였다. 그리고 이러한 분석의 과정에서 해체를 전후하여 9년의 시점을 추적하였고, 분석을 위해 사건배열분석과 다항로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 결혼해체를 경험한 여성들은 해체 3년 전부터 매년 5%포인트씩 고용률이 증가하였고, 이것은 취업이 여성에게 결혼해체를 준비하는 과정의 일환 중 하나임을 보여주는 바이다. 더불어 해체를 전후한 고용률의 증가폭은 빈곤여성에게서 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 결혼해체를 경험한 여성들은 취업으로의 이동뿐만 아니라, 근로시간을 늘리는 전략을 사용하고 있었고, 해체를 전후하여 주당 평균 9시간 정도 근로시간이 증가하였다. 셋째, 해체를 전후한 여성의 취업상태 변화는 크게 네 개 그룹으로 구성되어 있었다. 이들 그룹은 해체 이후 불안정한 노동을 반복하는유형, 분석기간 9년간 지속적으로 취업상태에 있는 유형, 해체와 관계없이 지속적으로 불안정한 노동상태에서 취업과 퇴직을 반복하는 유형, 그리고 지속적으로 미취업상태에 있는 유형이었다. 넷째, 각 유형의 영향요인을 분석한 결과, 초등학교 이하의 자녀가 있는 경우 지속적 취업에 비해 해체후 불안정한 노동을 하거나, 혹은 해체와 관계없이 지속적으로 미취업상태에 있을 가능성을 증가시키는 요인이 되고 있었다. 더불어 혼인기간이 길어질수록 지속적인 미취업 가능성이 증가하였다. 이러한 연구결과에 기초하여 본 연구에서는 결혼해체를 경험한 여성에게 해체의 부정적 효과가 증폭되는 것을 최소화하기 위한 방안으로서, 고용지속을 위한 사후관리의 강화, 보육정책의 확대를 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study analyzes the change in employment status of women after marital dissolution through sequence analysis. And this study tracks 9 years before and after the dissolution. The findings of study were follows. First, the employment rate of women experienced marriage dissolution has increased by 5 percent points from t-3. Second, dissolution of marriage for women was increased working hours(average 9 hours per week). Third, sequence analysis produced 4 group–continuous employment, precarious work after marital dissolution, continuous precarious work, and continuous unemployment. Last, result of multinominal logistic regression shows that presence of preschool children and long marital period increased the likelihood of continuous unemployment. Therefore, this study suggests enlargement of public child care policy to minimize negative effect of marital dissolution.
