본 연구는 방송기자의 텔레비전 뉴스 보도에 있어서 보도 기준들을 살펴보기 위해 실시되었다. 이를 위해 총 178명의 방송기자를 대상으로 서베이를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 방송기자는 보도를 위해 다양한 뉴스 가치가 고려하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 방송기자가 뉴스를 선정할 때 고려하는 사항도 매우 다양한 것으로 나타났다. 방송기자가 뉴스를 보도할 때 가장 많이 참고하는 뉴스미디어는 종합일간신문인 것으로 나타났다. 방송기자는 취재 및 편집 과정에서 여러 인적 요소와 비인적 요소에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 편집보다는 취재 과정에서 많이 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 인적 요소보다는 비인적 요소가 더 많은 영향을 미쳤다. 방송기자가 뉴스 가치를 판단하는 요소와 다른 보도 기준과의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과 뉴스를 선정할 때 고려하는 요소와는 높은 상관관계가 있었다. 하지만, 다른 뉴스미디어의 참고 정도와는 별 다른 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 취재 및 편집 과정에서 인적 영향 요인과의 관계는 비인적 영향 요인과의 관계보다 의미있는 관계가 적은 것으로 나타났다. 종합적으로 방송기자는 이슈의 선정에서부터 뉴스의 생산 및 뉴스의 전달에 이르는 전과정에서 다양한 보도 기준을 직･간접적으로 적용시키고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study focuses on broadcasting journalists’ the reporting criterion of TV news. For the purpose, this study made the survey. There are results of analysing data of the survey: Broadcasting journalists consider various news value. For selecting issue they consider various details. Daily newspapers are the news medium that broadcasting journalists most use on their new reporting. Broadcasting journalists are influenced by various human and non-human factors in their reporting and editing. Specially they are more influenced in their reporting than editing. Non-human factors more influence their reporting and editing than human factors. In total, broadcasting journalists apply various reporting criterion to from selection of issues to production and distribution of news directly and indirectly.
