함무라비 법과 성서에 나타난 천상회의

초록

아직 국내의 천상회의 연구는 타 분야에 비해 일부 부족한 상황이며, 기존 연구들이 대체적으로 제한된 범위에서 다룬 측면이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 천상회의에 대한 기존 학문적 성과를 바탕으로 특히 함무라비 법의 천상회의와 성서의 천상회의를 비교하며 태초에서 종말까지의 구도에서 그 의미를 조명하고자 시도한다. 본고는 수메르 법전승의 배경에서 천상회의를 바탕으로 함무라비 법의 천상회의를 살펴본다. 성서의 천상회의 모티브도 모세오경, 역사서, 시가서, 선지서 등 전체적 맥락에서 다루고, 신약의 개념도 일부 살펴본다. 성서의 천상회의 모티브는 인간 구원과 축복을 위한 희망의 주제로 발전되고 심화되었음을 보여준다. 양 문서에서 천상회의는 상호 조명함으로 서로를 이해하는데 도움이 되고, 그 의미는 태초에서 종말까지 인간 문명사에 법과 정의, 하나님의 인간 구원사를 위한 항구적 의미가 있으며 다양한 주제와 함께 추가 연구의 여지가 있다.

Abstract

Studies on the divine councils in Korea are not yet so well developed as in other fields, which are generally focused on limited areas. So this paper tries to compare the divine councils in the Laws of Hammurabi and the Bible, and to illuminate their meaning from the perspective of Urzeit-Endzeit based on precedent studies. The divine council in the Laws of Hammurabi is touched by a Sumerian legal tradition. The motives of the divine council in the Bible are presented in the Pentateuch, historical books, the Psalms and Wisdom literature, and prophetic books as a whole spectrum including the New Testament in a limited scope. This paper deals with the identities of the principal agents in both divine councils, and compares both councils to shed light on human existence with hope and blessings from a biblical aspect. The paper tries to explain that the divine councils of both texts are ever meaningful for law and righteousness, human salvation in a scheme of Urzeit-Endzeit, helping each other with reciprocal illumination for further studies with various topics.
