Abstract
The study is to analyze the impact of political use of online and SNS on college students’ political participation. Furthermore, it treated interpersonal talks and political efficacy as mediating variables and used structural equation model for its analysis to examine the impact of political use of online and SNS on youth political participation mediated by interpersonal talks and political efficacy. The result shows that whereas there is no direct relationship between political use of online and SNS and youth political participation, positive indirect relationship through interpersonal talks (online/offline) and political efficacy are found. Based on the results, the study suggested diverse ways to promote youth political participation as online and SNS are considered as important information channels.
