본 연구는 섹스리스 문제를 가진 중년 부부의 가족치료 사례를 중심으로 섹스리스에 영향을 미친부부의 내적 역동을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 남편과 부인은 원가족에서 형성된 내적 역동과 대처방식으로 부부 관계를 형성하였으며, 이로 인해 부부 간 역동과 성관계 시 내적 역동이 발생함으로서 섹스리스가 나타났다. 본 연구는 남편과 부인의 도망자-추격자 역동을 발견하였으며, 이를 활용하여 섹스리스 부부에게 접근할 수 있는 새로운 관점을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study explored the internal dynamics of a middle-aged couple that contributed to sexlessness, focusing on a family therapy case. The findings revealed that both the husband and wife developed their marital relationship based on internal dynamics and coping mechanisms shaped by their families of origin. These patterns led to relational dynamics within the couple and specific interactions during sexual intimacy, ultimately resulting in sexlessness. A key insight from the study was the identification of a “pursuer–distancer” dynamic between the partners. The study offers significance by presenting this dynamic as a new conceptual lens for understanding and approaching sexless couples in therapeutic settings.
