본 연구의 목적인 노인 배우자 돌봄 경험을 탐색하기 위해 노인 배우자 돌봄 경험을 주제로 질적 연구를 수행한 국내 학술지(KCI등재지) 연구 논문 9편을 체계적으로 분석한 질적 메타분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, ‘배우자의 돌봄자 되기’, ‘배우자를 돌보는 삶의 민낯’, ‘돌봄의 삶을 이어가기 위한 적응전략’, ‘ 불안을 안고 성장하는 돌봄의 삶’으로 도출되었다. 이러한 연구 결과에 기반하여 돌봄의 의미, 돌봄 책임, 노인 돌봄 배우자의 자기 돌봄을 중심으로 논의하였고, 노인 돌봄 배우자의 삶의 질 향상에 기여할 수 있는 실천적 방향을 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study is to explore the experiences of care giving of spouses of elderly. To this, a qualitative meta-analysis was used that systematically analyzed qualitative studies on caring experiences of elderly spousal conducted in Korea. Data were collected from 9 research papers in domestic academic journals on caring experiences of elderly spouses. Key themes are becoming a caregiving for an elderly spouse, the bare face of my life caring for spouse, Adaptation strategies to continue the life of care, manage to the life of care by communicating with various support systems, a life of care growing with anxiety. Based on this study, the meaning of the care experience of the elderly who take care of their spouses, care responsibility, and the 'self-care' of the elderly who take care of their spouses were discussed, and practical directions that can contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the elderly spouses were suggested.
