이 논문은 ‘3ㆍ15마산의거’(1960)를 소재로 한 시들을 대상으로 지역의 정체성을 구성하는 데 민주화운동의 경험과 기억이 중요한 역할을 하였음을 밝히고자하였다. 이는 한국근대사의 중요한 사건이면서도 빈약한 문학적 생산성을 보여준‘4월혁명문학’의 의미를 새롭게 사유하는 작업이기도 하다. ‘3ㆍ15’는 지난 50년동안 지역의 현실과 역사를 성찰하는 거울로서 기능해왔으며, 지역의 정체성을구성하고 정립하는 투쟁의 거점으로 자리해 왔다. 지역의 시인들, 혹은 지역 출신시인들에 의해 지속적으로 생산된 ‘3ㆍ15’ 관련 시편들은 ‘3ㆍ15’가 과거에 종결된 역사적 사건이 아니라 지역 공동체의 내면을 이루고 있는 생생한 현재적 의식임을 웅변한다. ‘3ㆍ15’ 시편들에 투영된 현실은 지역의 현실만이 아니라 질곡과왜곡의 역사를 지나온 민족의 현실이었으며, 이 작품들은 망각의 욕망을 넘어 공동체의 정신적 자산을 보존하고자 한 기억의 투쟁 장소였다. 이 글에서는 ‘3ㆍ15’가 지역의 정체성을 구성하는 데 끼친 영향을 ‘3ㆍ15’ 시들의 시대별 변화 양상을통해 살폈다. 이 글이 ‘3ㆍ15’ 시작품을 통해 특정 지역의 정체성을 살피고자 한것은, 지역문학 연구의 일환이라기보다 ‘지역주의’를 비판적으로 성찰하는 ‘기억-투쟁의 장소로서의 혁명문학’, 민주적 의식의 보편성에 기초한 지역문학의 현실적사례를 구체적으로 확인하기 위함이다.
Abstract
This paper was intended to illuminate the important role and memory ofthe pro-democracy movement constituting the regional identity by the poemsthat were based on '3ㆍ15 Masan movement(1960)'. It was not only theimportant event of modern Korean history but also the work to think themeaning of 'April Revolution-literature' that showed us the poor literaryproductivity. ‘3ㆍ15’ has functioned as a mirror that introspect the localreality and history for the last 50 years, and it has positioned as base ofstruggle place that constitute and establish regional identity. The poems about'3ㆍ15' that were written consistently by local poets or the poets from thatregion express that the '3ㆍ15' is vivid realistic awareness that form innerside of local community, not the historical events which ended in the past. Reality that was projected in '3ㆍ15' poems was not only the local reality butalso the national reality that has passed through the history of distortion andfetters. Also, the poems were the struggle place of memory that wanted topreserve mental asset of community over the desire of oblivion. In this paper,the effect of '3ㆍ15' that influenced local to form identity is describedthrough the aspect of chronological changes in the poems of '3ㆍ15'. Thereason that this paper wanted to search the specific regional identity throughthe poems of '3ㆍ15' was to identify 'revolution literature as amemory-struggle place' that critically introspect 'regionalism', the realistic caseof local literature that were based on universality of democratic than the part of research of local literature.
