한국어교육실습 수강생의 학업적 자기효능감과 학업성취의 관계

이 연구는 한국어교육실습 과목을 수강하는 대학생을 대상으로 학업적 자기효능감의 구성 요인 간 관계와 학업적 자기효능감과 학업성취와의 관계를 분석하는 데에 목적이 있었다. 학업적 자기효능감 측정에는 김아영·박인영(2001)이 개발한 28개의 문항을 사용하였고 실습과목에 대한 학업성취도는 강의참관과 모의수업, 강의실습의 점수를 합산해서 사용하였다. 첫 번째로 학업적 자기효능감의 평균을 요인별로 살펴본 결과, 자기조절 효능감(m=4.25)이 가장 높게 나타났고 그 다음으로 자신감(m=4.11), 과제난이도 선호(m=3.67)의 순으로 평균값이 높게 나타났다. 두 번째로 전체 학업적 자기효능감과 요인들 사이의 관계 및 학업적 자기효능감의 요인 간 상관을 분석했는데 전체 학업적 자기효능감과 요인들 간에는 모두 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 요인 간 관계에서는 과제난이도 선호와 다른 요인들 간에 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 세 번째로 학업성취도와의 관계를 분석하였는데 학업적 자기효능감과 학업성취도 간에는 유의미한 상관이 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 요인별로 보았을 때는 자기조절효능감과 학업성취도 간에 통계적으로 유의미한 정적 상관이 있었다. 이 연구의 결과는 기존의 연구에서 자기효능감과 학업성취가 정적 상관이 있었던 것과 비교해 볼 때 다른 결과라고 할 수 있다. 이는 일반 교과가 아닌 교육실습 과목이 가진 특성이 반영된 것이라 본다. 이 연구의 결과가 실습과목을 수강하는 학생들의 정의적 요인을 긍정적인 방향으로 형성하고 학업성취도를 높이는 데에 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.
Abstract
This study aims at analyzing the correlation among the components of academic self-efficacy, and the correlation between academic self-efficacy and academic achievement in students enrolled in a Korean as second language teaching practicum. To measure academic self-efficacy this study used the 28 scale items developed by Kim(2007); data related to student attainment consisted in the scores of class observation, teaching demonstration, and teaching practicum. Firstly, from the analysis of the average of the components of academic self-efficacy, self-control resulted to be the highest (m=4.25), followed by confidence (m=4.11), and preference for difficult tasks (m=3.67). Secondly, from the analysis of the correlation between the components of academic self-efficacy and overall self-efficay, results showed that all components were positively correlated to overall self-efficacy. An analysis of the correlation among the components showed preference for difficult task to be positively correlated to the other components. Thirdly, a meaningful correlation did not emerge between academic self-efficacy and attainment, however it was found between self-control and attainment. Results of this study present some difference with previous research on academic self-efficacy and attainment, and might have been affected by the characteristics of the course, which was teaching practicum and not a regular class. This study supports the need to build positive affective factors among teaching practicum students, thanks to its positive influence on attainment.
