대학생 시기는 사회에 진출하기 전 자신의 진로를 준비하고 사회인으로서 필요한 역량을 갖추는 시기이다. 본 연구는 기존 대학 글쓰기 교육에서 주로 다루어진 학술적 글쓰기가 아니라 학습자가 진로 준비와 관련하여 자아 인식과 역량을 점검하고 실용적 글쓰기 역량을 함양할 수 있는 진로역량강화 글쓰기에 초점을 두어 해당 교과목의 교육과정 개발의 절차 및 운영 성과를 제시하였다. 진로역량강화를 위한 대학 글쓰기 교과목의 교육과정 개발의 절차는 ‘교육 목표 설정, 교육 내용 선정 및 조직, 시범 강의 진행, 전문가 및 수강생 의견 수렴을 통한 수정, 본 강의 진행, 수강생 의견 수렴을 통한 개선’이었다. 즉 본 연구에서는 진로역량강화 대학 글쓰기를 개발하기 위해 교육과정 초안으로 시범 강의를 시행하였으며, 감수를 통해 전문가 의견을 수렴하고 수강 소감 조사를 통해 학습자 의견을 수렴하여 교육과정을 수정하였다. 수정을 통해 설정한 진로역량강화 대학 글쓰기 교육의 목표는 자신이 가진 역량을 분석하고 지원 기관의 특성과 요구 사항을 반영한 자기소개서 및 기획서, 결과보고서 등을 작성함으로써 자기 개발을 도모하고 대학 생활의 경력을 진단하며 계획하는 것으로 설정하였다. 조정된 교육 목표에 따라 교육 내용에는 자기소개서, 에세이, 기획서, 결과보고서 작성을 포함하였다. 학습자들은 해당 강의를 통해 진로 개발을 위한 실용적 글쓰기의 특성을 이해하고 실용적 글쓰기 능력을 함양할 수 있었다고 응답하였다.
Abstract
The undergraduate student period is a time to prepare for one’s career and to acquire the necessary competencies before entering society as a member of society. This study focuses on career competency-enhancing writing rather than academic writing, which was mainly dealt with in the existing college writing education, and presented the process and results of the curriculum development of the subject. Career competency-enhancing writing refers to writing that enables learners to check their self-awareness and competency in relation to career preparation and to develop practical writing skills. The process of developing a curriculum for college writing courses to enhance career competency was setting educational goals, selecting and organizing educational content, conducting pilot lectures, revising through expert and student opinions, conducting the revised lectures and improving through student opinions. In other words, in this study, pilot lectures were conducted as a draft curriculum to develop college writing for career competency enhancement, and the curriculum was revised by reflecting expert opinions through review and learner feedback through a course opinion survey. The goal of college writing education for enhancing career competency set through revision is to promote career development, diagnose and plan college life’s career by analyzing one’s competency and writing a self-introduction reflecting the characteristics and requirements of the applying institution. According to the adjusted educational goals, the contents of education included writing a self-introduction, essay, proposal, and result report. Learners reported that they could understand the characteristics of practical writing and refine their practical writing skills for career development through these lectures.
