Abstract
This study was intended to identify the effect of the perceived high performance work system(HPWS) on the contextual performance and the moderate effect of organizational climate. The survey was distributed and retrieved by 250 workers at public organization. Finally 226 effective questionnaires were utilized in the study. The analysis confirmed that there is a significant positive relationship between the perception of HPWS and contextual performance. In addition, in the relationship between these variables, the organizational climate, which takes into account organizational characteristics such as job, leader, and colleague, has a moderate effect that further strengthens the positive relationship. The implications of this study are as follows. First, it has been shown that the perception of HPWS affect the achievement of contextual performance that promotes interpersonal relationships between colleagues. Existing studies have mainly shown that workers contribute to organizational performance by directly improving their knowledge, skills, and abilities, but the results of this study suggest that processes between human capital have the effect of improving. Also, the organizational climate is positively strengthening the relationship between the perception of HPWS and contextual performance, whichi means that the HRM system implemented by the organization affects the perception of organizational members and supports their performance.
