Abstract
As insurance is called “cognitive industry,” the quality of insurance life planners as human resources plays an important role. In addition, the insurance underwriting is based on long-term trust, and also it depends on the pride of the life planners in his/her job in order to build trust between the planners and consumers. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the perceived social reputation of life planners would lower the intention to turnover and whether job attitudes such as job satisfaction or organizational commitment mediate the relationship in that process. Empirical analysis shows that the perceived social reputation of the planners does not have a direct effect on turnover intention. However, as a result of analysis using the PROCESS macro, the serial double mediating effects of job satisfaction and organizational commitment was found, in which the perceived external reputation had negative effect on turnover intention. Based on the above results, in order to reduce the turnover rate of life planners, it is necessary to find ways to raise social reputations for life planners. It is also necessary to make efforts to increase overall job satisfaction and organizational commitment of life planners.
