Abstract

This paper is a study on the third Urdu collection of poem (The Blow of Moses) by Mohammad Iqbal(1877-1938). He had written 11 works during his life, which are consisted of 3 Urdu and 8 Persian works. 『The Blow of Moses』had been published in 1936 and included in the field of political, social and current issue as well as religion, morality and philosophy. Indeed The Blow of Moses is the only work dealt with the various themes, but the basis had been laid on Self philosophy. Self is the term as the meaning of Mind in Iqbal philosophy. Action system of human beings is stemmed from experience system that is accumulated in Mind. Accordingly Self is a veritable reality and is not an illusion. Action system originating in accumulated experience is shown and proved in the distinction between commoners and sages. As a result, it comes from the grade of Self. In the Ⅲ, it is mentioned in the concept of Self, Time and Space of Self, reality of Self and so on. Self philosophy is corresponding to the core code in Sufism which has contained Aryan philosophy more than 3,000 years. Mohammad Iqbal is connected with Sufism's lineage as the great sufi of the Islamic era in the 20th century. Apart from the Self philosophy, this work is divided into 3 themes: Reason and Love(intuition), Indian Islam and East-West politics in the Ⅳ. In particular, Reason is antagonistic to the Love from the Persian view of Orient. Reason considered as the negative aspect by the Persian philosophy should be supplemented and fortified by the Love. As a clue of the antagonism between the Orient and Occident, it will influence a great impact on solving out Humanities' complexity. Iqbal's Two Nation Theory laid a foundation of the creation of Pakistan. He has been admired in Pakistan as a poet laureate holding a prominent position in Asian history.
