書論이 書風에 미친 영향 – ‘尙意’書風을 중심으로 –

Abstract

At this time, we researched the influence of the theory of calligraphy on the style of calligraphy focused on 'honoring sentiment' style of calligraphy mainly. At first, the most important influences on the formation process are development of the theory of calligraphy, Wen Shi who most of Song's calligraphers are, and Zen Buddhism. When we talk about Yi, it is divergence of calligrapher feelings and sentiment and lyrical abilities to be able to pursue in calligraphy. Therefore, 'honoring sentiment' is the style of calligraphy which persue writer's individual character and nature. On this theoretical basis is founded in these theory of calligraphy - 'enjoy learning' of Ou Yang Xiu, 'spirit and energy' of Cai Xiang, 'grasp meaning' of Shu Shi’, 'being important artistic effect' of Huang Ting Jian, 'need of artistic effect' of Mi Fei, Zhu Chang Wen personality theory and of Jiang Qui ‘appearance’, Based on these, we can be found the influences of the theory of calligraphy on the style of calligraphy directly through analysis of work of four great masters in Song work, honoring sentiment representative writer. Since liberation, Korean calligraphic circles has strived for supply and popularization but 21 century calligraphy needs to show other aspect. Regardless of what the arts, in order to success for that certain field, there should be many people engaged in that field. Then, there should be great masters of the field and theorists who summarize the field theoretically and show prospect direction exactly. Setting up a theory and a direction is a new motive to create a new style of calligraphy. For these reasons, this essay to study influences of the theory of calligraphy on the style of calligraphy is very meaningful practically.
