국어 문법화 연구의 이론적 배경과 특징

공시적 언어 현상에 대한 올바른 이해는 통시적 변화를 고려할 때 비로소 완벽해 질 수 있다는 점에서 문법화 이론은 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 그러나 문법화 이론을 국어에 적용할 경우에는 보다 엄밀한 정의와 현상의 관찰이 필요할 것으로 보인다. 국어 문법화와 관련한 백가쟁명식의 논의를 되돌아 볼 필요가 있다. 본고는 이와 같은 사실을 논의의 출발점으로 삼아 국어 문법화 연구를 비판적으로 검토해 보고 문법화 논의가 보다 엄밀하게 국어에 적용되기 위해서 필요한 문제들을 다루는 것을 목적으로 하였다.국어 문법에서 문법화와 관련한 기존의 논의는 주로 변화의 결과에 초점을 맞추어 그 대상도 후치사에만 연구가 집중되었다. 그런 의미에서 기존의 문법화 논의는 실사가 가지는 의미의 축소 내지는 소실에 주목한 협의의 문법화였다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 통사적 구성이 형태적 구성으로 변화한 것까지도 광의의 문법화 개념에 포함시킨다면 통합형 접속어미도 문법화의 대상이 될 수 있다. 또한 문법화와 유사한 개념을 함의하고 있는 것으로 알려진 융합이나 재구조화에 대해서도 살펴보았으며, 이를 통해 국어의 통합형 접속어미는 역사적으로 통사론적 구성이 형태론적 구성으로 재구조화되어 통시적 변화 과정을 겪은 것이라고 할 수 있다.
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to examine theoretical background and characters of the Korean Grammaticalization. In fact, Language change is very dynamic. I defined the mechanisms and principles and process of Korean grammaticalization and this relates to the purpose of this paper to see the creation of the restructured compound conjunctive endings in the perspective of the grammaticalization. Restructuring can be defined construction of compound-form which has been accepted as a morphological uni-form. Grammatical morpheme happens among adjacent morphemes. Based on that, this paper see that the restructured compound conjunctive endings were shaped through restructuring from syntactical components to morphological components. I explained the appropriateness of the reanalysis method by showing that the restructured compound connecting endings can be analyzed not only with the disbursement and function of synchronic but also with the reanalysis through diachronic. This paper main purpose is to clarify of the Korean conjunctive endings with the grammaticalization. However, In this paper, I regret not to make more clear explanation in doing system reanalysis. In spite of, it is important to study grammaticalization, Because the original status of language can explain about synchronic status and function of a language.
