아쿠타가와(芥川)의 여성들‒생애와 작가활동을 중심으로‒

Abstract

This study examines and analyzes the women of Akuda River. The women that were well known as Akutagawa’s Lady are often narrowed down to five. However, in addition to the five known women, through the life and works of Akutagawa, I would like to summarize the remaining 15 women not covered in previous studies, into a thesis (1) and (2) after a detailed review. This thesis is the first (1) of the process. Akutagawa’s childhood, youth, and marriage are examined as women in the thesis (1), and five well-known women, Yayoi Yoshida and his wife, Fumi Tsukamoto, appear in this time period. Another notable woman is Chiyo Yoshimura. Through his childhood affection for Yoshimura Chiyo, Akutagawa’s realization that love can not be fulfilled due to a difference in status in a love affair can be seen. Another side of Akutagawa can be glimpsed in the way she cares deeply for her lack of knowledge. Yayoi is a character that cannot be left out. The unfulfilled marriage with her made clear the perception of human egoism. Such a tendency is shown through the works 『Rashomon』 and 『Ko (鼻)』. In that the two works created an opportunity for the Akutagawa family to appear in the paragraph, it can not but be said that the impact and significance of the catastrophe of first love was great. Lastly, it is his wife, Fumi Tsukamoto. As one of the well-known women, this study inferred the process of marriage through the many letters of love that Akutagawa sent to her. What remains to be done is that Akutagawa committed suicide nine years after marriage. The fact that he wanted to commit suicide leaving her and three children raises questions about his passion for love, which has been shown in numerous letters. If love had grown cold, there may have been a lacking on Fumi’s part that could not have kept up with his knowledge. For this reason, I intend to review this in the next period through a reasoning where a new character appearing to be Fumi enters. Among the remaining 15 women, there are three well-known women, but most of the other women are women who seek new pursuits through data. Through the ties and encounters with women throughout his life, the kind of motives or relationships revealed in the work, and how they form a parallel with the facts, I seek to obtain a final conclusion with consideration through the second paper.
