Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the operation of power for survival, focusing on Cheon Seon-ran's Moss Forest and Kim Jun-nyeong's If there is a god beyond the act, and to study how to escape the framework of power. both works are set in the background of the destructive disasters on the Earth's surface caused by the climate crisis, with Moss Forest going underground to overcome it, and If There's God Beyond the act heading into space for a new life. novels have a common direction of survival in limited space and resources. at this time, survival is linked to the governance of disciplinary and life powers that manage and control life at the population level. in the novel, the skill and power of controlling and managing life are revealed. the protagonists of the novel take extreme actions to escape this ruling order. they are people who are engulfed in feelings of anger and mourning for the loss of their loved ones and resist existing power by escaping toward the Earth's surface with impulsive and reckless determination, or by destroying the spacecraft's governance system. this can be understood as an attempt to create their own new narrative. the analysis of the two works is also a response to how humans can return to ethical existence in a society where governance for survival controls all aspects of life.
