Abstract
Korean literature scholar Jang Moon-seok's Choi In-hoon's Asia: Rewriting World History with Dreams of Solidarity and Coexistence reinterprets Choi In-hoon's novels, focusing on the theme of 'Asia.' This book examines the Asian thought expressed in Choi In-hoon's literature, which developed a profound understanding of Asia, from three perspectives: Asian space, Asian time, and Asian principles. In "Globalization and Post-Imperialism: 'Asia as Method'" (2009), Taiwanese Asian scholar Chen Kuan-hsing(陳光興) emphasized the need for Asian studies that not only pursue postcolonialism and the post-Cold War era, but also pursue post-imperialism, to overcome the limitations of postcolonial and globalization discourses. By exploring the Asian thought of Choi In-hoon's literature, the author comprehensively reflects on the paths of postcolonialism, the post-Cold War era, and post-imperialism, and renews (East) Asia theory 'with Korean methods.'
