본고는 중일전쟁 초기에 발간되었던 잡지 《烽火》에 실린 巴金 글에 나타나는 저항적 사유에 대해 고찰하고자 《烽火》에 실린 巴金의 글을 내용적 성격에 따라 세 가지 로 구분하여 독해하였다. 첫 번째로 중일전쟁 시기 일본군의 폭격으로 인한 피해를 핍진하게 묘사한 글을 통해, 巴金이 反파시즘적 정서이자 현실에 대한 시대적 저항적 정서를 드러내고 있음을 알아보았고, 두 번째로 그가 동시기에 발생했던 스페인 내전과 관련된 글을 번역함으로써 중국 인민들에게 절망적인 상황 속에서도 희망을 잃지 않고 분연히 항전하도록 독려했음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 세 번째로 일본인에게 보내는 공개 편지글 세 편을 통해 지배와 피지배, 침략과 피해의 관계를 만들어낸 파시스트에 대한 극복을 지향하고 이러한 비극을 초래한 시대를 되돌아보며 다시는 이 비극을 반복하지 않기 위한 내부 성찰을 요구하는 한편 전쟁을 일으킨 통치 계급에 항거하는 강력한 저항성을 확인할 수 있었다. 중일전쟁 초기 《烽火》를 통해 제국주의와 파시즘에 저항한 巴金의 혁명정신 및 항전문학적 사유는, 그가 인간에 대한 믿음을 가지고 줄곧 권력에 대해 반대하는 소리를 낼 수 있는 토대였다. 巴金 문학의 저항성은 민족과 국경을 넘어서는 새로운 패러다임을 요구하는 현재의 문화적 변화와 흐름에 대한 이해에도 상응할 것이다.
Abstract
In order to consider the resistance reasons that appear in the BaJin’s article in the 《Fenghuo》 published in the early days of the Sino-Japanese War, this paper read the BaJin’s article in 《Fenghuo》 into three categories according to its content characteristics. First, through a description of the damage caused by the Japanese bombing during the Sino-Japanese War, it was found that BaJin revealed an anti-fascist sentiment and a period of resistance to reality. Secondly, by translating articles related to the Spanish civil war that occurred at the same time, it was found that he encouraged the Chinese people to fight without losing hope even in desperate situations. Third, through three open letters to the Japanese, we were able to confirm the strong resistance to the ruling class that started the war, while aiming to overcome the fascists who created the relationship between domination and controlled, invasion and damage, and looking back on the times that led to this tragedy, he demanded internal reflection not to repeat this tragedy again. BaJin’s revolutionary spirit and anti-war literary thinking, which resisted imperialism and fascism through 《Fenghuo》 in the early days of the Sino-Japanese War, was the basis for him to speak out against power with faith in humans. His resistance of literature will also correspond to the understanding of current cultural changes and trends that require a new paradigm that transcends nationality and borders.
