본 연구는 수목원이 국가 및 지역경제에 미치는 경제적 파급효과를 전국산업연관분석을 적용하여 분석함으로써 수목원의 투자 및 지출의 효과 측정과 정책의사결정의 기초자료로 활용하고자 수행하였다. 분석을 위한 실증자료는 산림청에 등록된 41개소의 수목원 가운데 조성주체 및 규모를 고려하여 수목원 6개소를 선정하고, 총 1,397명의 방문객들의 항목별 여행지출비용을 분류하여 조사하였다. 다음으로 여행지출비용을 한국은행에서 발간된 전국산업연관표(2010년 연장표)와 통합하여 수목원의 생산, 소득, 부가가치, 고용파급 효과를 평가하였다. 그 결과, 우리나라 전체 수목원의 연간 경제적 파급효과는 생산파급액은 4,941억원, 소득파급액은 682억원, 부가가치파급액은 2,044억원, 그리고 고용파급자수는 5,324명으로 평가되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic impact of botanic garden and arboretum using the National Input-Output(I-O) model. Based on the National I-O transactions tables developed by Bank of Korea(2012), botanic garden and arboretum related sectional multipliers were derived with respect to output, income, employment, and value-added. Furthermore, surveys questioned botanic garden and arboretum visitors in order to estimate per capita travel expenditures. The result shows that total botanical garden and arboretum’s annual economic impacts were estimated 494.1 billion won of output 68.2 billion won of income, 204.4 billion won of value-added, and 5,324 full-time jobs effect, respectively.
