본 연구는 산림청 국립중앙수목원 조성사업의 기본계획에 해당되며 기후변화 및 생물다양성 감소 등환경문제의 대응과 시민의 생태문화 체험의 기능을 수행하는 대한민국을 대표하는 도심형 국립수목원 조성 계획의 내용을 서술하였다. 조성목표는 「도심속 자연과 문화가 어우러진 국민이 행복한 수목원」으로 설정하였고이에 적합한 전시공간으로 한국정원, 세계정원, 감각정원, 습지원, 치산녹화원 등 13개의 전시공간별 세부계획및 특성화 프로그램을 수립하였다. 각각의 주제원은 관련 자료 및 문헌을 바탕으로 공간구성과 시설물배치, 특성에 맞는 수종을 선정하여 배치함으로서 주제원 고유의 특징이 잘 나타날 수 있도록 설계하였다. 유니버설디자인과 주변과 연계한 동선배치는 관람객의 접근성과 편의를 제공하여 적극적인 참여를 유도하였다. 국립중앙수목원은 대한민국 그린 랜드마크로 도시민에게 지속가능한 녹색문화의 공간으로 새롭게 형성되는 행정중심복합도시의 조기정착에 중요한 역할을 담당할 것이다.
Abstract
This study is about the Master Plan of the National Central Arboretum which is constructed by theKorea Forest Service in Sejong Self-Governing City. The arboretum will become one of representative arboreta ofKorea. The study describes the plan of arboretum in urban area with the function of coping with environmentalproblems such as climate change and biodiversity loss, and the function of providing ecological culture experiencefor the citizens. The objective of constructing the arboretum is ‘to make the people happy by bringing harmonybetween culture and nature in urban area’. Each theme garden is designed, based on related data and documents,through spatial organization, planted with characterized species and equipped with suitable facilities. Thus, theyfeature their original characters. The arboretum consists of thirteen gardens : korean traditional garden, world’s garden, healing garden, marshgarden, kids garden, etc. Master plan is also suggested including details plan and specialized program. The universaldesign and the line of flow plan is that it offers quick and easy access to gardens. The arboretum will play an importantrole in forming the character of the Multi-functional Administrative City which is newly created as a green landmarkand sustainable green cultural space for the citizens.
