수도권 및 주변 국유자연휴양림의 이용자 특성에 관한 연구 - 산음자연휴양림과 용화자연휴양림을 대상으로 -

Abstract

The aim of this research is to help revitalize the national recreation resorts, which are located in and around the Seoul metropolitan area, as a tourism destination by analyzing the characteristics of the parks users. The results show that most people visit as a family unit traveling in their own cars and that they use the internet to gain necessary travel information. As the distance between a metropolitan area and a natural recreation area increases, the more users tend to associate the recreation area with other nearby tourist attractions. In essence; the closer a park is to a metropolitan area, the more likely it will be used strictly for forest recreational activities, rather than being used in conjunction with other nearby tourist attractions. The main recreational activities of park users within the facility areas are: playing in the water, relaxation, and going for strolls. Nevertheless, in order for the natural recreation areas located in nearby metropolitan areas to fully play their primary roles, there needs to be an expansion of the rest facilities in valleys and forests, paths need to be further developed for climbing and walking, and forests need adequate management. In regards to natural recreation areas in suburban areas: accommodations for lodging need to be expanded along with association with other tourist attractions in the given surrounding area. Natural recreation areas in other counties need to establish more auto camping areas and ample amounts of cost effective camping tables should be provided for users. In the case of newly established recreational forests active public relations campaigns will be required to create sufficient public interest as quickly as possible.
