근린공원 시설이용의 이용자와 관리자의 의식에 관한 연구

Abstract

This author carried out survey consciousness of ordinary users and personnel engaged in management of park green zone at 4 community parks in Iksan. The purpose of survey was to provide basic data for establishment of policy for management of park green zone. The result of this study can be summed up as follows. First, survey on the status of use of and visit to parks revealed that the required time for coming to the park was 20minutes or less for majority of users and managers. It was also found that users tend to visit parks on foot with their families more than once in a week in the morning of weekends with their families but managers were not so. Second, in terms of status of use of park facilities ordinary users were using parks mainly for the purpose of exercise and they stayed 1-2 hours at facilities in promenade. On the other hand managers were engaged in exercise,rest and walks and used shadow, bench and promenade of parks and level of their satisfaction was found high. It seemed managers have sense of attachment and high level of interest in various facilities of parks at the time of their management. In this connection identifying ordinary users’ preference for landscape facilities and satisfying their such need will be required. Third, in terms of evaluation of environment of park facilities on the basis of each environment it was found that there was significant difference in average between two groups with respect to their consciousness on convenience of use, quantity, disposition of facilities, diverse functions of facilities, safety factor on the risk, convenience of location,neatness and cleanness of facilities. With respect to evaluation of environment of park it was found that in comparison with working level park managers the users showed low rating on management of rest place, stores, public phones/vending machines. Such result seemed to stem from tendency of parks now seeking profit rather than service for the users under management by private enterprise entrusted with park management and also stemming users’ high level of expectation on park facilities. Due to commissioning of park management to private enterprise partially convenience became primary concern rather than conditions of facilities or environment. For this reason heightening access of community park should be considered with first priority and it seemed overall improvement of accessibility, functionality and environmental factors seemed to be most urgent.
