본 연구는 지리산둘레길이 산촌지역에 미치는 사회·문화적 효과 및 숲길의 환경적 영향을 평가하여, 숲길 조성정책의 타당성과 효과성을 제시하고자 수행되었다. 지리산둘레길의 가치와 환경 및 사회·문화적 측면에서 효과들을 규명하기 위하여 먼저 지리산둘레길에 관한 기사들을 중심으로 내용분석을 실시하였다. 지리산둘레길은 이용객들에게 지역주민과의 소통과 경제적 나눔, 친환경적 여행, 자아성찰의 기회 제공에 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 지리산둘레길의 환경 및 사회·문화적 가치를 평가하기 위하여 비시장재 가치평가 방법인 가상가치평가법을 적용하였다. 그 결과 지리산둘레길의 환경 및 사회·문화적 가치는 1인당(1일 기준) 5,604원으로 평가되었다. 이 가운데 사회·문화적 편익이 2,914원, 환경적 편익은 2,690원으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 연간이용객수(연 40만명)로 환산할 경우, 약 22억원의 환경 및 사회·문화적 가치를 가지는 것으로 분석되었다.
Abstract
This research is estimating the environmental, social and cultural effects of Jirisan Trail. In order to investigate the value of Jirisan Trail, firstly the content analysis was performed around the articles about Jirisan Trail. The results of this analysis showed that the Jirisan Trail contribute to the communication between Jirisan Trail visitors and residents, economic benefits, environment-friendly journey, self-examination to the users. Next, in order to evaluate the environmental, social and cultural effects of Jirisan Trail, Contingent Valuation Method which is the non-market goods evaluation method was applied. As a result, the environmental, social and cultural economic value of Jirisan Trail was 5,604 won per user. The social and cultural benefits was estimated 2,914 won, and environmental benefits was valued 2,690 won, respectively. When this results was converted into the annual visitors, the environmental, social and cultural effects was estimated about 2.2 billion won.
