산림치유 프로그램 적용에 따른 요양시설 노인의 자아존중감 및 우울감의 변화

초록

근래에 들어 산림치유에 대한 사회적 관심이 날로 높아지고 있고 이에 대한 연구는 빈번히 진행되고 있지만 노년층에 대한 연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 청주시 S전문요양원의 입소노인을 대상으로 산림의 치유기능이 노인의 자아존중 감 및 우울에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상은 각각 세 집단으로 나뉘어 한 집단은 산림에서 진행하는 치유프로그램에 참여하였고, 또 한 집단은 실내에서 진행하는 치유프로그램에 참여하였으며, 나머지 한 집단은 프로그램에 참여하지 않은 대조군이었다. 자료의 분석은 t-검정, ANOVA, Duncan의 다중비교를 이용하였다. 결과에 의하면 산림에서 진행하는 치유 프로그램, 실내에서 진행하는 치유 프로그램의 순으로 자아존중감이 증가하고 우울감이 감소하였으며, 프로그램에 참여하지 않은 대조집단에서는 긍정적인 결과가 발견되지 않았다.

Abstract

By increasing the social concern of forest therapy day by day, studies regarding the topic are also inprogress, except for forest therapy for senior citizens. This research was conducted on senior citizens of S nursinghome in order to examine the effect of forest therapy on both self-esteem and depression, which are senior citizenscommonly suffer. Subjects were divided into three groups: a group for therapy program in the forest, the next groupfor therapy program conducted indoors and finally, the control group doing nothing. Data was analyzed by usingt-test, ANOVA and Duncan’s multiple comparison test. According to the data from the research, participants in thefirst group experienced the most increased self-esteem and depression compared to other two groups. No positiveeffects were found in the control group.
