『성경』에 나타나는「人」와「者」의 한일 대조 ―잠언을 중심으로―

本研究は日本の聖書の箴言に見られる「～人(ひと）」と「～者(もの)」を通して日本の聖書の特徴を把握し、これらが韓国語ではどのように対応しているかを比較し、考察を行った。 その結果、日本語では対照形式の文章の中で「～人(ひと)」と「～者(もの)」を明確に使い分けていることが確認できた。これは言い換えれば、日本語の「～人(ひと)」と「～者(もの)」の使い分けは聖書的な基準に基づき、はっきりと区別して用いると言える。たとえば、日本語での「～者(もの)」で表す文章の共通点を見ると、神の御旨に逆らう場合に用いられている。これは、日本の聖書では軽視の意味を含む「～者(もの)」を用いることで神様の思し召しにかなわない人を明確に区切って用いていることになろう。つまり、日本語での「～人(ひと)」と「～者(もの)」の使い分けは聖書での「神に従う人」と「神に逆らう人」の使い分けであると言えよう。
Abstract
This study examined the characteristics of the Japanese Bible using hito and mono appearing in Japanese Bible Proverbs and compared them to their Korean versions. The study showed that Japanese clearly distinguishes hito and mono in contrast-type sentences. In other words, compared to Korean, hito and mono in Japanese are clearly classified and used based on biblical standards. For example, in sentences using mono in Japanese, the word is used when it is opposite to what God means, thereby clearly distinguishing those who do not conform to God's word by using mono, which implies the meaning of neglect in the Japanese Bible. In other words, the distinction between hito and mono in Japanese can be considered as reflecting a division into “a follower of God,” which means a “righteous person” in the Bible, and “a person who defies God,” which means an “evil person.”
